#ArtistSubmission: @SunsOfILLios - Icarus (Music Video)

The Children of ILLios are back with a visual to the third single from their debut project, "Journey Through The Blakk Sun" titled Icarus. The Chicago kids again utilized their connections at Soundscape Studios and the Boiler Room for the mixing and mastering, and the visuals were handled by Visual Mecca. The concept of the track is a play on words derived from their group name, I.L.L.I.O.S., which translates to sun in Greek. In the Greek myth, Daedalus and Icarus, Icarus and Daedalus are imprisoned on an island named Crete. Daedalus is a skilled inventor who makes wax wings that will be used to help them escape by flying over the ocean. Daedalus warns Icarus to fly at middle height, but he disobeys and his wings were melted by the sun. He sinks into the ocean towards his untimely death. Therefore, Icarus is a metaphor for anybody who tries to compete with them. They also sampled Alexander O'Neal's "Sunshine" to play into the theme of the sun. The Children of ILLios are releasing a project in March entitled "Awaiting Arrival EP" in anticipation of the full length debut album "Journey Through The Blakk Sun" set to drop in April. I have to say for as young as these kids are they are going about their craft smarter than most indie artists these days. It's nice to see a lot a though put into everything that they release. Props to the ILLios kids from #UrbanChiTunes. #Chicago
